The Nairobi Standard Chartered Marathon is part of the Greatest Race On Earth (GROE), which includes four challenging marathons in four exotic cities, others of which include Singapore, Mumbai and Hong Kong.

Over the last four years, Standard Chartered Nairobi International Marathon through the “Seeing is believing” Initiative has been able to sponsor over 600 cataract operations at Kikuyu Eye Hospital, the largest eye hospital in the region. The event has also involved in the eradication of Trachoma in Ol Malo in Northern Laikipia.
